Before Your Treatment

Please be advised these are not things you HAVE to do before your appointment, they're just tips to make your treatment more comfortable.

  • Drink lots of water the night before and the day of your appointment

  • Take acetaminophen or ibuprofen before your appointment (unless advised otherwise by a doctor)

  • Use a numbing cream 40 minutes before hand (Emla, Dr. Numb or Zensa are recommended)

  • If possible, no coffee the day of your appointment or alcohol the night before your appointment as these both dehydrate the skin

  • Get a good night's sleep before your appointment

*Note: You may be more sensitive during treatments when you are menstruating

After Your Treatment

  • Keep the treated area clean and free of any skin products with the exception of witch hazel and aloe vera gel as these can reduce inflammation. Use them sparingly so as not to overwhelm your skin

  • Drink lots of water

  • Try not to touch the treated area. Wait at least 6 hours before washing the area (unless it becomes dirty) as tap water may introduce bacteria into the treated follicles

  • If having underarms treated, wait until the next day to apply deodorant or antiperspirant

  • If you have any questions or concerns following your treatments, don't hesitate to contact me!
